HVA moves into new Eastern Operations Support Facility...

HVA has moved into its new Eastern Operations Support Facility in the City of Plymouth.

The new 10,000 square foot facility houses administrative offices for HVA operations in western Wayne County and southwest Oakland County.

HVA purchased the building, located on Goldsmith Avenue and renovations were completed in December.  The cost of the building and renovations were about $1 million.  The purchase was financed through tax-exempt bonds from the Michigan Hospital Finance Authority.  The building is located near the M-14/Sheldon Road interchange.

HVA Vice President for Eastern Operations Paul Hood described the building as being a perfect size for our operations.  "We have been experiencing growth in the region and we out-grew our previous operation at the Plymouth Department of Public Services building," Hood said.  "Our new building will give us plenty of room for the foreseeable future".

The building will house Hood's office, the division supervisor's office, handicapped van dispatchers, crew facilities, and a large classroom for EMS education.  The building also has indoor storage for about 8 ambulances with additional outside storage for more vehicles.
