HVA
LifeLink is a remote emergency answering system that works
as a regular telephone and an alert system in emergencies.
The
system comes with a pendant-button to wear at all times. Remote
activation buttons are also available to be placed in the bathroom
and other places in the home.
In
emergencies, the user can press a button, and the system
automatically calls relatives or friends, whose phone numbers
are programmed into the machine. The system will skip to the
next responder if a person does not answer or if an answering
machine picks up a call.

If
up to three other responders are not available, the
system calls Huron Valley Ambulance's emergency
call center where
specialists can assess the situation and send an
ambulance and paramedics if necessary.

Users
also can use the pendant to answer regular telephone calls from
anywhere in a home. The speaker phone has far-reaching
reception.
Additional
pendants or wrist band buttons are available for $56.00 plus
shipping. If you lease the unit from
HVA, they are $1.95 per month.
