What We Do...
Huron Valley Ambulance is a nonprofit community agency which provides Health Transportation Services and Health Call Center Services in an eight county service region in Southeast and South Central Michigan.  Specifically, this includes:
  • Paramedic Emergency Medical Services and Transport for 675,000 residents.
  • Non-emergency ambulance transports for 17 hospitals, 26 nursing facilities, and many freestanding emergency and urgent care facilities.
  • Wheelchair transportation through our Mobility Transportation (Health Van) services.
  • Ambulatory transportation call center services - matching providers with those in need.
  • Nurse and paramedic-based call center providing triage, health information, physician referrals, answering services and outbound disease management.

We operate paramedic EMS services under the following trade names:

  • Huron Valley Ambulance (HVA)
  • Jackson Community Ambulance (JCA)*
  • Monroe Community Ambulance (MCA)**
  • Lenawee Community Ambulance (LCA)
  • Albion Community Ambulance (ACA)*
  • Alliance Mobile Health***

In addition to these primary core functions, HVA also provides EMS education services in three counties, community outreach education programs, medical examiner investigative services, 911 dispatching services for 13 Washtenaw County fire stations, and fire department billing services.  In collaboration with others, we own an ambulance service in Oakland County (Alliance Mobile Health) and a statewide ambulance provider network (Mobile Health Resources).
