Automated Defibrillator Registry

     Huron Valley Ambulance promotes the deployment and use of Automated Defibrillators throughout the community.  Defibrillation, along with CPR, is the only reliable means of reversing sudden death in the pre-hospital setting.

     Time is critical is reversing sudden death.  Applying a defibrillator immediately following collapse, a person stands a 70% chance of leaving the hospital alive with no brain deficit.  Delaying the application of a defibrillator reduces survivability.  Victims who wait for a defibrillator shock over 14 minutes stand less than a 1% chance of leaving the hospital alive!

In an effort to inform the community and promote defibrillator usage, HVA maintains this defibrillator registry.  The registry allows you to see the location of defibrillators in your community, and gives the public a

  way to add additional locations.  There is also a link provided to report the use of an AED in the public setting.
