Governance
The HVA Board of Trustees is made up of volunteer community leaders. It is their job to govern the ambulance service in the community's interest. Bylaws call for between five and fifteen trustees. The current membership of the HVA Board of Trustees includes:

- John Worden, Chair. Administrative Fire Chief and Zoning Administrator for Summit Township in Jackson County.
- Jacalyn Liebowitz, Vice Chair. Vice President for Patient Care Continuum, Allegiance Health, Jackson, Michigan.
- Richard Lundy, Secretary/Treasurer. Consultant and community leader, Dexter, Michigan.
- Dale Berry, President and CEO of Huron Valley Ambulance.

- Fred Davis, Trustee. CPA, Partner (retired), Wright Griffin Davis & Company. Ypsilanti.
- Jeff Desmond, M.D. Emergency physician, University of Michigan Hospital.
- Joseph Dulin, Trustee. Principal (retired), Roberto Clemente Center, Ann Arbor Public Schools.
- Kathleen Griffiths, Trustee. President and CEO, Chelsea Community Hospital, St. Joseph Mercy Health System.
- Terence Joiner, M.D., Trustee. Pediatrician, Ypsilanti Pediatrics & Assistant Professor of Pediatrics/Communicable Diseases, University of Michigan Medical School.
- Thomas Manchester, Trustee. Attorney, Manchester and Associates, Ypsilanti, Michigan.
- William Wise, Trustee. Assistant Professor (retired), Siena Heights University and former President of the Village of Clinton, Michigan.
